120 million Facebook users will be the target of the attack new virus called Koobface.
Koobface will spread the disease to PC users through Facebook messaging system. After successfully infected the Koobface will steal data important property of users, especially credit card numbers. This is the latest form of attack from hackers that propagates in the social networking site.
“Many viruses have been trying to use Facebook in the same way for their personal interests. Fortunately, only a small part of Facebook members are exposed to the virus is successful,” said spokesman Barry Schnitt Facebook, as quoted by Reuters, Friday (5/12/2008).
According to the analyst from McAfee, Craig Schmugar said that a virus such as this is a trend, as the threat of viruses that target other email users.
