Currently, people are slowly leaving the Television (TV) and then switch to the Internet. Many things can do quickly via the Internet. To prevent the loss of TV as electronic products, Intel tried to create devices that combine TV with the Internet.
Intel will be hard to develop widgets or mini-applications that paired in the electronic products. So it can be made to watch the TV channels and also can be used to surf the Internet, from browsing to buying products through the online store.
Yahoo was also has an idea in creating this tool. So, the device can be installed with its hardware, Internet to TV is also able to modify the software, applications such as Javascript, XML, HTML, and Flash.
“We will introduce the Innovation in the Consumer Electrics Show (CES) exhibition on 8 and 11 January future,” a spokesperson for Intel Mary Ragland, as cited by the AFP This Tuesday (16/12/2008).
If the technology is successful in the market, it will make the TV media as the most experienced development. A long time ago TV can be used for game consoles or manageable by remote control. Now, with the collaboration TV and the Internet, consumers can download photos, watching movies, and ordering Pizza simultaneously.
I predicted this trend will accelerate next year.
