Apple, in cooperation with the Massachusetts state government and the National Federation of the Blind (blind organization), will provide special facilities for the blind to get access iTunes service.
As cited by Wall Street Journal, on Monday (29/9/2008), Apple uses technology that can provide information in the form of letters Braille or change information in the sound. Thus, after receiving the information, blind users can search for songs desired through the keyboard.
Apple also provides contribution worth USD250.000 to the blind commission to develop all programs that serve the blind needs can access the technology.
Based on these Apple agreements, the apple will also provide iTunes U, which provides educational content, and can be accessed on 31 December the future. Agreement will be held for three years and will be tested first before using by the blind.
iTunes is known as a place to buy and download songs and other content. Blind in the United States and the world is continuously striving to be able to access information on the Internet.
