Sony recently announced that it will provide space for online advertising in PlayStation 3 as an effort to strengthen its position in the console market.
Outdoor ads that offered guaranteed Sony will not disrupt the view of the user. The ads that are displayed online form board publicity, shops, or the wall ads in a game that is generally three dimensions.
“Games online allows full flexibility for advertisers, where, how long, and when they want to cut off or put our contracts with (Sony). Similar to other online ads,” said Sony spokesman, cited by AFP on Saturday (12 / 7 / 2008).
To realize these programs online advertising, Sony worked with the bureau ad for the game, Double Fusion and IGA Worldwide new bureau. “This is applied to our broad range of markets, can accommodate advertisers, advertisers are based in Japan, North America and Europe,” he continued.
Meanwhile, the Sony has been successfully selling 13 million units since the PS3 launched once two years ago. However, until now, Sony has not been able to shift the Nintendo Wii console as a global market leader.
